Delivery and collection

1. Where we deliver and how long it takes

We deliver Monday to Saturday. We do not deliver on Sundays or public holidays. Times are business days and start from when your order is confirmed, which for EFT orders means from when your payment clears.

2. The 10:00 cut-off

Same-day delivery in the Gauteng metros depends on your order reaching us before 10:00, because the driver's route for the day is planned around then and your item still has to be engraved. Orders placed after 10:00 go out the next delivery day. Our checkout only offers you dates we can actually meet.

3. Cash or card on delivery

Cash on delivery is available in Gauteng only. Our driver carries a card machine and we would rather you tap or swipe, but we take cash if that suits you better.

Please check the item at the door before you pay. If it is not right, hand it back and pay nothing.

Some items are marked EFT only on their product page. Those are paid for before they ship and cannot be paid for on delivery. If one of them is in your basket, the whole order goes by EFT, because it all travels together.

4. EFT orders

When you choose EFT we show you our banking details and your order reference on the confirmation page, and the reference is also on your order in your account. Please use it as your payment reference so we can match the money to your order.

We begin making and delivering your order once the payment reflects in our account. Sending us the proof of payment on WhatsApp speeds this up considerably. Orders not paid within 7 days are cancelled and the items released back to stock.

5. Tracking your delivery

Every order gets a tracking page. Once your driver plans the day's route you will see an arrival window, usually a 30 minute band, and you can watch the delivery progress towards you. It is open 24 hours a day and needs no app and no login.

Find your order at aumax.co.za/shop/track/ using your order number and the last 4 digits of your phone number.

6. If we cannot reach you

Your driver phones the number on the order to arrange a time. If we cannot reach you, or nobody is at the address when we arrive, we will try again on the next delivery day at no extra charge. After two failed attempts we will contact you to rearrange, and for EFT orders we may hold the item at the studio for collection.

Please make sure the phone number on your order is one you will answer on the day.

7. Wrong or unclear addresses

We deliver to the address you give us. If it is incomplete or wrong we will contact you to correct it, which may delay the delivery. If a delivery fails because the address was wrong, a further attempt may be charged for.

A nearby mall, garage or landmark is genuinely useful if your area is hard to find, and you can add one in the delivery notes at checkout.

8. Collecting from the studio

You are welcome to collect from Unit A12, Co.Space, Kya Sands, Randburg during trading hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00, Saturday 09:00 to 13:00. There is visitor parking at the entrance and no delivery fee. Message us before you come so we have it ready.
